Our local hospital is the regional site for COVID-19 testing.
Though we have no local cases, testing required due to people who live in proximity to the border with Victoria crossing back and forth has seen increased numbers at the drive up location.
Yesterday and today there were people waiting for hours, all day long.
The strain on our local health care providers is immense.

This 2019 animation provides a time frame and sense of visual scale for successive holders of the distinction of being the world’s tallest building.
Of interest is the gap between the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center Towers; the idea that the world’s tallest building could have been in Chicago; and the move from West to East of the current and recent past holders of the title.

There was a time in the 1980s when it was mooted that the then world’s tallest office building would be constructed in Brisbane.

In case anyone else is thinking of forwarding, linking, sending or otherwise bringing this to my attention, I have seen it.
I’m not saying don’t do it, though.
I enjoy reading it out loud, every time.
