Q What is the chief and highest end of man?
A Man’s chief and highest end is to glorify God, 1 and fully to enjoy him forever. 2

Canterbury Cathedral are featuring twelve carols over the twelve days of Christmas.
Here’s Once In Royal David’s City.
It has lovely lyrics, though does trend toward being a bit preachy about children’s behaviour.
When I sing it I find some of the phrasing forced in the latter verses, but the lyrics themselves are touching.

The better life in Jesus is part of every relationship, every purpose, and every priority in the lives of his disciples.

For those unable to join us at MGPC, the service will be live-streamed.

To take a quote from Douglas Adams and apply it to the subject at hand, the Pacific Ocean “is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to” the Pacific Ocean.

This video provides lots of comparisons between the size of the Pacific Ocean with lots of other objects that we’d consider large and shows them to be larger still. By lots.

There’s a lot that’s unknown and unexplored right on our door step.
