To take a quote from Douglas Adams and apply it to the subject at hand, the Pacific Ocean “is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to” the Pacific Ocean.

This video provides lots of comparisons between the size of the Pacific Ocean with lots of other objects that we’d consider large and shows them to be larger still. By lots.

There’s a lot that’s unknown and unexplored right on our door step.
