Instead of being embarrassed by continued frailty and weakness, disciples of Jesus know this condition serves to demonstrate all the more to the world that our only hope is in the power of God which dwells within us, which sustains us, and which is transforming us as we near eternity.

For those unable to join us at MGPC, the service will be live-streamed.

Song: Let Your Kingdom Come

Carolyn Arends provides an acoustic rendition of her song All Flame.

I am a vapour with a value beyond measure
What shall I do then with the wild and fleeting treasure
Of my life
My life
You are the fire at the center of existence
What shall I do then with my fear and my resistance
To Your love
Your love
I know to heal me You must burn me
And yet You tell me You can turn me
Into someone
Who can become
All flame

A while ago I posted the opinion that Caramilk Marble took two favourite flavours, but by combining them did not add anything, rather each did not really complement the other.
This time though, the introduction of Caramilk Hokey Pokey seems to offer more promise of two flavours and textures that actually complement and enhance each other.

Back to Thursday night play, in the NRL at any rate.
Both competitions ran true to form last weekend.
The NRL offers a few more uncertainties this weekend, but largely among the bottom tier teams.
The AFL has a few close run games, but the upsets will probably come in the games with greater disparity between the competitors.
