I’m feeling somewhat in agreement with the idea going around that Australia’s new five dollar note design is a scheme to make Australia become a republic: make a design so ugly that Queen Elizabeth 2 formally requests her portrait be taken off it and dissociates herself from any future usage. Judge for yourself.
