June 16 is mum’s birthday, the second since her departure.
I think of her whenever I hear I’ll Go Home With Bonnie Jean from Brigadoon.
The song is part of an ensemble performance and dance, so the soundtrack has plenty of space to allow for that as well as the recurring soaring vocal.
Mum did like the song (and the movie); she also had a very, very, very, soft spot for Van Johnson.
So, in memory of Bonnie Jean.

I have a new collecting project going on. Part of that is Dr. Mid-Nite. He and some friends arrived today and will be taking up residence in the Batcave.
I was going to tell you his backstory, but it was printed on the back of his packaging. Of interest is that the character was blind (though able to ‘see’ after a fashion in heroic guise) And had an owl called Hootie.
