This week I’ve been listening to my prerelease copy of Pacific Gold’s album Sing My Welcome Home. They sing repurposed hymns with a hipster/indie/synth/folk/alt sort of vibe: Beach Boys meets Sufjan Stevens meets Boy & Bear sort of thing. This is I Will Know Him.
Wayfarer’s Beach Boy inspired retune of The Holly & The Ivy got the stamp of approval from Rachel. Since releasing this the band have been renamed Pacific Gold and have an LP due out next year.
