This looks interesting. The third Captain America movie looks like a stealth Avengers movie instead. The comic book run of Civil War was something I hated. Putting a personal relationship at the centre of a division between the characters, and developing themes from the previous Avengers movie seems to make more sense.
Book Grocer is some sort of remainder line bookshop at our local shopping center. I didn’t intent to pick up this Tintin oversized hardcover with card stock pages. But it’s so beautiful. And, like pretty much everything else in the store, only ten dollars. (The ruler alongside is for scale.)
I’m still deeply suspicious about this movie. The fact they’re trying to set up a team franchise is the only reason that I have hope that this won’t be a depressing dirge of a production. These sorts of movies should end with a promise of hope, not relief that they’re gone. This is why DC …
I’m not a huge fan of Sesame Street parodies of non-child oriented productions. However, this one is based on the Avengers, so it’s close enough. And it’s amusing too: lots of puns, a great riff on the ‘That’s my secret…’ line, and Hawkeye gets a hard time.
