I’ve mentioned crowd funding platform Kickstarter before.
I mostly back music projects.
One enterprising man asked for $10 with a promise to make potato salad.
He hadn’t made potato salad before, and didn’t know what type he would make.
So far over 6000 supporters have promised nearly $50,000.
(No, I’m not one of them.)
He will receive that money (and more, the ‘project’ has over two weeks to run before it finalises).
The scope of the project continues to grow, but potato salad remains the core objective.
Most of the time I’m lucky if I can get anyone to watch me cook dinner.
But this is the age in which we live.
