Today I Found Out did a piece on the origin of the phrase ‘It ain’t over till the fat lady sings’. Turns out the saying in that form is of fairly recent origin, but traces its roots back to earlier expressions ‘Church is never out until they stop singing’.
Apparently December 29 is Tick-Tock Day. The idea of Tick-Tock Day is that with two days remaining, if you have any resolutions yet unfulfilled for 2015 then you better get cracking on them. I’ve got a couple of things to get done tomorrow.
