O Come, O Come Emmanuel is worth posting every year. Particularly when there are so many amazing recordings of the song around. This is by someone called Citizen Shade. It’s pretty special, even if it’s not all the verses.
We finished our carols and readings service tonight with Angels We Have Heard On High. I just heard Marina Prior sing the same arrangement of Angels that she sings every year at the Melbourne Carols By Candlelight. It’s a pretty cool arrangement. Here’s Fernando Ortega’s version. A good finish for today and tomorrow’s coming.
Moya Brennan’s version of Love Came Down At Christmas from her album An Irish Christmas.
