This graphic, along with a supporting article under the byline of Dr Gina A Zurlo, Co-Director, Center for the Study of Global Christianity, and published by Gordon-Conwell Online provides an insight into the nature of worldwide Christianity.
These sorts of explanations provide a picture of connectedness, while also understanding how small our own local connections are in the context of the whole.

When I listened to audio vignettes featuring Roly and Sonya Parks on early morning broadcasts of 4QR (Brisbane’s ABC radio) in the late 1980s I wasn’t even aware that Kalangadoo was a real place, much less that at some point of my life I’d be living in the same region of South Australia as the township.
I was visiting this morning to gather details for a funeral on Friday.

This also brings back memories of a couple who had retired from Kalangadoo to Mount Gambier and were part of our church.
The male member of the duo had a facility for rambling discourse that left Roly Parks in the shade. (Much to the consternation of his dear wife)
A situation where art seems only a very pale imitation of life.

Anyway, Kalangadoo.

Lovingkindness, but Matt Papa, Matt Boswell, and Matt Redman, newly released through Getty Music.
Kristyn Getty seems present as part of the vocals.
Expect a singable memorable melody and lyrics that make for cogent corporate expression.
The poetry is a bit strained, a brave choice to impose a rhyme structure around the suffix ‘ness’.
The music helps carry over some of the bumps.

The lyrics:
1.
Let praises now awake the dawn
We’ll greet Your mercy with a song
Your people stand and sing for all
Your lovingkindness
You’ve carried us in faithfulness
Upon the paths of righteousness
Our gracious King You’ve crowned us with
Your lovingkindness
Chorus.
How great is Your lovingkindness
O God of goodness
Our joy forever to sing the glad refrain
Of grace that saved us
Of sweet forgiveness
O how great is
Your lovingkindness
2
You lift us with a Father’s hand
You shelter us with Your commands
What heart could fully comprehend
Your mercies endless
You lead us through the shadows deep
Where doubts trace every step, it seems
But as the darkness breaks we’ll see
The morning promise
Chorus.
3
A life laid down to rescue us
With arms outstretched upon the cross
The greatest Gift there ever was
Of lovingkindness
A life laid down to rescue us
With arms outstretched upon the cross
The greatest Gift there ever was
Of lovingkindness
Your lovingkindness
Chorus x2
