When I listened to audio vignettes featuring Roly and Sonya Parks on early morning broadcasts of 4QR (Brisbane’s ABC radio) in the late 1980s I wasn’t even aware that Kalangadoo was a real place, much less that at some point of my life I’d be living in the same region of South Australia as the township.
I was visiting this morning to gather details for a funeral on Friday.

This also brings back memories of a couple who had retired from Kalangadoo to Mount Gambier and were part of our church.
The male member of the duo had a facility for rambling discourse that left Roly Parks in the shade. (Much to the consternation of his dear wife)
A situation where art seems only a very pale imitation of life.

Anyway, Kalangadoo.
