“There’s only one Maltese Falcon”
I have a suspicion it’s not the one in my study.

Two projects, one at MGPC’s front driveway and the other at a shared fence line at the rear of our property.
A power pole (Stobie pole in South Australia) was substituted with a larger replacement; and a massive tree on neighboring property which had toppled over on our block is being removed.
We don’t really have anything to do with either job, but both are beneficial to us in one way or another.

It’s been a couple of months since I last shared a song by Carolyn Arends. Where does the time go.
Something Out Of Us features the same lyrical thoughtfulness and playfulness that features in her songs, and the music for this one, featuring The Sojourners, demonstrates some breadth of style.
You made cosmos out of chaos
You made Adam out of dust
You made wine out of the water

You make light shine in our darkness
You make life to conquer death
You make children out of sinners
You’ll make something of us yet

So, whether your mood is for a bottle of red or a bottle of white tonight, here’s a chance to get reacquainted with Eddie and Brenda, and few others.
A bottle of white, a bottle of red
Perhaps a bottle of rosé instead
We’ll get a table near the street
In our old familiar place
You and I, face to face, mmm
A bottle of red, a bottle of white
It all depends upon your appetite
I’ll meet you any time you want
In our Italian restaurant
