Only a few years ago the thought that Geelong versus Hawthorn being a game between 18th and 17th positions on the ladder would have been fanciful. As would the thought that Footscray would be 16th.
Yet here we are.
Everyone expects the NRL to wildly inconsistent, adjusting to the AFL emulating that state will take some getting used to.
