So, NRL stayed with 75% even in the finals. I don’t think Penrith are done by any means, though they’re probably happiest that they’re facing Paramatta. Easts have done amazingly to get this far and have a side on the field. Manly won’t be taking anything at all for granted; as well they shouldn’t.
The AFL are having a weekend off. It was a little odd that in a season where the top five teams or so seemed to be there and there abouts with each other that the two of the last four should be despatched so definitively. I think the extra week probably helps the Bulldogs more than Melbourne. Melbourne have two weeks to dwell on overwhelming favouritism in a game that none of them have played in, with the weight of history and expectation squarely on their shoulders. Hopefully (really, really) everyone stays well.
