This must be the last of the shortened rounds.
State of Origin 3 is on next Wednesday with Queensland looking to achieve a rare three out of three clean sweep in the series, with two of the games being played in New South Wales this year.
The NRL premiership resumes in reality next weekend with numerous teams’ June and July being decimated due to player absences for State of Origin.
With a third of the AFL season remaining all that really seems to be in question are the places the current top eight will hold after the next couple of months.
