Well, so much for two grand finals composed entirely of teams from outside the states in which the respective Grand Finals are held.
Fremantle: get some players who can kick a winning score.
The NRL Grand Final is the most even I can remember for some time. It doesn’t matter who wins, though I lean toward North Queensland, both because I think any team with Jonathan Thurston deserves favouritism and because they haven’t won a premiership before. But if Brisbane win I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
In the AFL Hawthorn are my pick because I think they have another gear and will simply explode on the day, like last year when they proved themselves a class above Sydney. West Coast winning would be a huge upset.
