The AFL catches NRL’s disease, though Fremantle and Port Adelaide beating last year’s Grand Finalists were not really upsets. It’s going to be tough at the top this year, with the side that can keep its list uninjured that may emerge on top.
The NRL, after eight rounds has twelve out of sixteen teams running at 50% or less for wins against games played. I’m not even running at 50% for my tips. Inconsistency is endemic.
Anyway, Australia and New Zealand play a test match on Sunday, deferred from rained out Brisbane tonight.
For AFL fans a test is when your national team plays a team from another country at your game.
