Drove to Robe and picked up two one-kilo bags of coffee from Mahalia’s.
More about them later.
On the way home I played the soundtrack from the movie ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’.
It is a movie without imperfection. I love it.
The soundtrack is just as good.
If you haven’t seen it, do. If you have, watch it again.
As I’ve always said, I could be the pastor of a church that uses blended music for its praise: country and western.
Here’s The Stanley Brothers singing the closing track, Angel Band.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Sing along:
My latest sun is sinking fast
My race is nearly run
My strongest trials now are past
My triumph has begun
Oh, come, angel band
Come and around me stand
Oh bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home
Oh bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home
Oh bear my longing heart to Him
Who bled and died for me
Whose blood now cleanses from all sin
And gives me victory.
Oh, come, angel band
Come and around me stand
Oh bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home
Oh bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home
