This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Well it’s actually the continuation of a beautiful friendship. Casablanca is being released in 4K high definition next week. I’ve pretty much bought every new release of this, and watch it endlessly. It is a perfect movie.
The movie Hunt For The Wilderpeople is inspired by the book Wild Pork And Watercress. The book has its own narrative qualities that would be interesting if someone made it into a movie in its own right. It’s a good book. Which in no way diminishes my love for the movie.
Drifting Home is an anime that recently premiered on Netflix. It’s a tad long at two hours, and doesn’t break new ground, but was a most satisfactory movie. The characters are young, but the theme of moving on through the experiences of life are common to all.
