Bobbie Nelson, pianist and elder sister of Willie Nelson died a few months ago at the age of 91. She played as part of Nelson’s band, her piano featuring on Nelson’s gospel collection Farther Along. This is the title track. Watching them work together is a pleasure.
I’ve been listening to Randy Travis’ album Worship and Faith. Farther Along just feels like an old familiar friend; I’m always delighted to see pop up on any album.
