Preaching to an empty room on a Thursday. It’s taking some getting used to.

We bought a large screen to use as a display for the sermon graphics. We haven’t had one on site for a few years now. It will be useful in a variety of situations when things normalise.

A delivery of social distance reading arrived today.

I’ve been waiting for Andrew Peterson’s Adorning The Dark to arrive at Koorong (during a sale).

It’s a reflection on making the heart of God known through creative expression.

I’ve adored Peterson’s music and writing for years. I expect a read that will inform my thinking and also be a work of creative expression that I will enjoy reading.

Recording music to be used in the videos we’re producing to provide in the absence of gathered worship.

We’re striving for a sense of familiarity and continuity while recognizing that it is not the same or a substitute.

Developments in restricting gatherings have limited the number we wish were involved, but we’re trying to honor the intention for physical distancing.

We want it to be a reflection of our normal worship.

Do it anyway
Be afraid, be very afraid
But do it anyway
