We sang While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night to the tune Lyngham to close our Christmas service today. I think it adds a great folk touch. This gives an idea of how it works.
O Holy Night gets a run in this list every year, because there’s always a chance someone hasn’t heard David Phelp’s insanely good rendition. I always look around to see if there’s a better version, but nope, this is it.
I like the Sussex Carol, so it’s getting an outing at this year’s Christmas Eve carols and readings. I also wish I could sing like The Priests.
