Vietnam Veterans’ Day in Australia (also known as Long Tan Day) is observed on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. 2021 is the 55th anniversary of that battle.
A commemoration was observed at Vansittart Park this afternoon here in Mount Gambier. It was simple and small, the meaning all the more manifest among those present who had served and those who remembered.
