The Wednesday of Easter Week recalls the dinner part at Bethany where Jesus was served by the ever caring Martha, who was celebrating the return to life of her brother Lazarus. Their sister Mary made her presence known by the provision of a lavish gift, the aroma of which has wafted down through the centuries.
In Memory Of Her Love by Michael Card, is a song about the occasion.

She has done all she could do
Pouring perfume on My body
She has prepared Me for the tomb
Though she never knew
This is what she came to do
Let her be, it’s beautiful to me
And you will have the poor
They’ll be with you always
But can’t you see, you’ll not always have Me
The fragrance of her gift
Will always be remembered

Here’s a live version.

And the album recording.
