Mark’s Gospel is the Good News about Jesus Christ. What makes it good news is that the grave is not the end. The resurrection is what makes Jesus’ life Good News for us. This is our final sermon in Mark’s Gospel.

Jeremiah 31 continues to reveal the love of God that ensures that not only will his people be physically regathered, but that, more importantly, they will be gathered spiritually renewed. God’s love is expressed in contexts that bring us imagery of father, shepherd, and mother – each demonstrating the unique expression of God’s love – it is not sought, but rather it seeks.
