Some of you will be interested to know that a very, very, very low budget movie called VelociPastor exists.
The plot summary:
“After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. At first horrified by this new power, a hooker convinces him to use it to fight crime. And ninjas.”
Yep, a priest who becomes a were-dinosaur and fights evil.
Originally a film-student project trailer, it became a micro-budget movie.
The director originally had thoughts of it being some sort of commentary about the Catholic Church, but eventually dropped those pretensions, arriving at the the rationale that
“The movie is made to be fun, and anybody looking for deeper meaning in the man-turns-into-a-dinosaur genre is probably on a fool’s errand.”
I have no intention of watching it, and you probably know if you have an interest in this sort of thing.
If you don’t, then don’t watch the trailer below.
Most pastors do not openly fantasise about becoming dinosaurs and killing problem people, if you were worried.
