Continuing a semi-regular series featuring tracks from EMU Music’s Songs For Little Rooms 2 Album.
Hear Our Prayer is another song that has reasonable lyrics, but I wonder how the melody works as a corporate song.
Vocalists can sing it okay but something about the combination of pace and melody makes it hard for me to visualise a room full of other people singing it with confidence and volume. That said, it’s a pretty easy melody to pick up.
I wonder if you’d find yourself humming the tune. That sort of thing.
The lyrics on the other hand make a very strong statement well suited to the start of worship.
