Well, this brings a close to 2013 footy tips.
Last weekend’s tip of Fremantle in the AFL didn’t come to pass, but they weren’t that far off the mark.
They do need another strong forward. I hear one’s leaving Victoria, but heading north, not west.
Congratulations to Hawthorn.
Their recruiting department, in particular, must have got a big bonus.
When the defender you specifically recruit ends up being best of ground in a grand final win, someone’s a genius.
Sadly, my NRL tip probably won’t come up.
Easts playing Manly is pretty much the NRL equivalent of Collingwood playing Collingwood in the AFL.
But I like Easts even less than Manly.
Even though Easts form is pretty irresistible.
So Manly it is.
And there’s always next year.
