Until recently Zac Hicks has been leading services of worship at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church in the US for a number of years.
Part of that leadership has been providing explanatory notes which provide background and context to explain various elements of their services and their purposes.
In a great act of generosity Zac has made those available as a downloadable document at his blog, where he explains how the practice began, and the fruit which it has bourne in the life of the church.
It’s an extensive file which runs to 83 pages as a Word document.
The Presbyterian denomination of which Hicks was a part has some differences in practice and understanding from ours, but on the whole it is a very helpful resource.
Even if as a base model for similar explanations.
Go read Hick’s post and download the document for yourself here.
