I’m somewhat bemused by the fact that The Avengers has not received a nomination as best film at this year’s Academy Awards.
C’mon, after lifting the number of films able to be nominated in the category to ten, this year there are only nine nominees.
I like to think of the un-nominated tenth as being a concession that The Avengers really was the best film, but the Academy can’t bring themselves to acknowledge it.
