Bobby Jamieson continues to examine how programs can be a productive part of a church’s plan for effective discipling and outreach.
Programs and groups that don’t grow Christian life but simply consume people’s time and energy can’t be sustained.
They’re the living dead and need to be either put out of their misery or resuscitated.
A church can maintain groups and programs but:

1. Programs should be means, not ends in themselves.
2. Programs should contribute to a culture of discipleship, not compete with it.
3. Christians shouldn’t spend all their time “at church.”

There’s also good reasons to keep everything as simple as possible.
Focus on content to produce outcome, not presentation.
The phrase I’m cultivating is: ‘Avoid burdensome complexity.’
