One of our members thought I’d find this clip from New Life Digest ’93 amusing.
Quite.
A story found in a corner of a church bulletin:
Three small boys were bragging about their fathers.
The first boy said: ‘My dad writes a few short lines on a piece of paper, calls it a poem, and gets $10 for it.’
‘My dad,’ said the second, ‘makes some dots on a piece of paper, calls it a song and gets $20 for it.’
‘That’s nothing,’ declared the third boy, ‘my father writes a sermon on a sheet of paper, gets into the pulpit, and reads it, and then it takes four men to collect the money!’– ‘Gleanings,’ in ‘Trowel and Sword,’
