Residents of Adelaide and Melbourne, if you hear a rumbling whining noise tonight sometime after 9.30, don’t assume the volcanic dust cloud has lifted and jet aircraft are able to fly.
It will probably just be the sound of New South Wales complaining about how they were robbed of State of Origin victory by: a poor refereeing decision, bad luck, injury, poor sportsmanship by a Queensland player, not enough time or something similar.
Should Queensland lose there’ll just be silence, ’cause Game Three will be back in Queensland.
