Congratulations to Michael Wharton on the release of the web-based version of Rejoice Hymnal of the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
I know Mike’s put a lot of work over a significant period of time setting this up. He probably had support from the national Worship and Aids to Devotion Committee. (Or at the very least, hopefully they paid his bills and stayed out of the way.)
A subscription based service, the site provides access to comprehensive indices and the lyrics and sound samples of non-copywrited material. A new feature is downloadable power-point slides of the hymns.
As a general purpose hymnal in the evangelical/reformed tradition the website should be a service to the wider church, as well.
I think we’ll be getting a church subscription very soon.

You’re correct. The old access is no longer valid. 2011 is like ancient history, isn’t it?
You can now try https://www.pwad.org.au the site of the worship and aids to devotion committee, who have carried on the work Mike Wharton used to manage.
It takes some sort of registration and set-up, with which I’m not familiar. (A little embarrassing; I’m on that committee)
It also looks like there’s a very nominal annual fee for access.
I also can’t remember if all the lyrics from Rejoice are there, some ongoing copyright matters complicate these sorts of things.
Another great resource is the https://hymnary.org portal that has lyrics to many, many (many) hymns. It is searchable within the site, but even searching the hymn title on google with the word ‘hymnary’ as part of the search will get you there in a click or two.
Lyrics copied from there may require some minor modification to suit Rejoice’s distinctives.
But it is free and accessible without registration…
For other songs if you have a CCLI registration you can get lyrics from there as well.
