Tim Keller provides his definitions of movements and institutions in order to show the strengths and weaknesses of both.
I think he does so in a way that avoids ‘straw-man’ over simplifications and his observations constructively point out that movements eventually need some form of structure and institutions need to remain focussed on continuing to pursue their original goal and not fall into a culture of simply maintaining their structure.
