Mikey Lynch offers his thoughts on the implications of adopting practices of doing church music which are borrowed from Christians who have a different understanding of the Bible.
Here are three of his nine points:

  • Although music can influence people in choosing a church, we must keep remembering that this is a sign of spiritual immaturity;
  • Christianity is primarily about God speaking to us, not about us speaking/praising/enthroning/exalting on highing/lifting up his naming;
  • Music, music leading, music in the background and so on can easily become manipulative.
