January 5 is the twelfth (and final) day of Christmas; the day before Epiphany.
Wassail is part of the observance, perhaps an incorporation of outside cultural elements turned into a time of blessing and shared celebration. (Though not too much)

So Cornish Wassail by Kate Rusby is a fitting place to finish this version of Christmas songs.
Thanks for following along through a down and up (and down) season.

January 4 is the eleventh day of Christmas. This one seems to be about remembering a variety of saints by whoever’s local.

This rendition of The Wexford Carol is nicely sung by Katherine Jenkins.
I’ve never sung this song, but if we had the right accompaniment it could be fun.

January 3 is the tenth day of Christmas. In some parts of the church the naming of Jesus is remembered.

It seems to me that Christmas Carols don’t mention Jesus by name a lot, or focus on that as the name his parents were told to give him.

That provides me the chance to include Give Me Jesus by Fernando Ortega in this version of Christmas Songs.

January 2 is the ninth day of Christmas and the first Sunday of 2022.

Another year to follow the call.

King Of Kings is from Ordinary Time’ album In The Town Of David.
