Rachel Tucker originated the part, with Alice Fearn taking over.
Tucker then joined the Broadway cast as Beverley and others.
Fearn has a film-clip style rendition, which provides a showcase vehicle for her vocals.
Here’s a version by Tucker recorded for international women’s day in 2020. After some introductory commentary, the song begins at 1:22. It’s interesting to hear Tucker’s natural accent before the Texan vocal styling adopted in the song. Also of interest is the different ways different vocalists handle that accent (including yesterday’s by Zoe Gertz), along with the presentation and phrasing aspects of the song.
