Schmigadoon is a series in which two contemporary characters find themselves in a town that appears to be a movie musical.
It’s amusing. It’s clear that the creators and performers love the form; their understanding of the culture that gave rise to the form is more clouded. Which makes it less than an homage, not quite a parody; what it actually is may become clearer as the series goes along. [edit. The first season ends in a satisfying way.]

This was the scene that made me laugh out loud, though.
