That rumbling sound may be a lot of backtracking from a whole class of folk who couldn’t conceive of people who think differently from themselves.
There’s a lot of ashen faced commentators, politicians and journalists on tv this afternoon.
Regardless of the outcome hopefully some humility across the board would be welcome.
