Hunt For The Wilderpeople is a movie I enjoyed.
Touching, surreal, sad, funny, it is wonderfully shot and moves through its story line deftly, in a way that never allows itself to drift into sentimentality.
Though idiosyncratically New Zealand it translates outside of that setting.
Sam Neill again demonstrates his capacity for range from comedy to pathos to drama and is well supported by Julian Dennison and an ensemble cast.
Rhys Darby features in a wonderful cameo.
It is a film about family.
