This is a five minute graduation speech by Mike Rowe pointing out the unfortunate truth that passion and ability may not have anything to do with each other and that just because you’re passionate about something doesn’t mean you won’t suck at it, and that happiness on the job has very little to do with the work itself.
People generally aren’t told this sort of stuff at school, so just as they’re graduating will have to do.
And his final piece of advice about what to do with your passion is pure gold.
