It was encouraging to attend the launch of the 2015 Mount Gambier Community Mayor’s Christmas Appeal.
Representatives of both the local agencies who distribute funds and gifts, and groups who facilitate giving were present.
Hopefully last year’s total of just over $26,000 will be exceeded.
It’s likely that there’ll be more than last year’s total of over 1000 people (individuals and families) helped.
Apart from other efforts by the churches, the proceeds of the offering collected at the Blue Lake Carols is given toward the appeal.
