Driving quarter-way around the country last week has left me so far out of the loop that I hadn’t heard that Allens Confectionary are discontinuing production of Spearmint Leaves.

The retail site I appropriated this image from described them as ‘One of Australia’s favourite lollies’.

This is will come as a great concern to makers of the Women’s Weekly birthday cakes because there are quite a few cakes in there that use the spearmint leaves as part of their designs. So goodbye, Spearmint Dinosaur Cake!
