Christa Wells has just released Covers, a five track EP that is “a dark and rich re-imagining of five beloved alternative songs from the late 80s-90s. Featuring tunes from Smashing Pumpkins, U2, The Smiths, Depeche Mode & Nirvana”.
Wells revisited songs that were part of her adolescent years, lyrics that spoke to and of her feelings through that time, compositions that nurtured her own desire to write and record.
I’ve had my copy for a while, thanks to a Kickstarter reward, but to celebrate the EP’s release it’s available as a free download from Noisetrade.
