Margaret and I (with Rachel) are leaving for Brisbane this afternoon. (1.30pm is the aim)
We’re arriving Monday, with stops in Swan Hill, Dubbo and Moree planned.
A pretty relaxing driving schedule, the absolute opposite of Margaret and my 28 hour straight through drive back when we first made this trip in 2004.
Over four weeks we have time in Brisbane, Hervey Bay and an undisclosed location just south of the Qld/NSW border.
We’ll catch up with family, friends, and maybe a virtual friend or two.
And Rachel heads home after two weeks. Fifteen days alone with her parents is enough.
We’re travelling in the Camry Hybrid which has proved itself a good tourer on a couple of trial trips to Adelaide and Melbourne.
Rachel is looking forward to having the whole back seat to herself.
Unless she’s in the front. Driving.
Eh. I’m not sure about that.
Suppose I better pack.
