Lord Of All Creation (God Of Wonders) and Lord, My Petition Heed (Psalm 86) are the songs of preparation.
Worship commences with Light Of The World (Here I Am To Worship).
Our prayer of adoration and confession will focus on the wonder of God and being welcome in His presence, thankfully expressing our joy at the enduring unshakeable certainty of the acceptance we have with Him through Jesus.
Nothing Between Us, The Apostles’ Creed and Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow are our testimony of faith and assurance.
In God’s Word, John 14:1-31 continues the upper room discourse, speaking about room in his Father’s house and the help of another comforter.
We’ll continue to memorise Hebrews 13:14, then sing Crown Him With Many Crowns.
Reading from Hebrews 12:25-29, the sermon will explore the exhortation of the writer to the Christians not to ignore the offer of salvation which is made through the Lord Jesus Christ. There will come a time when everything outside of Jesus will not remain, so we who are in him are secure. From that security we can worship God with freedom and liberty, recognising his power, but with love, not fear.
After the pastoral prayer, we’ll give our tithes and offerings, then conclude worship singing I Will Sing The Wondrous Story.
