Songs of preparation are O LORD, Our Lord, In All The Earth (Psalm 8) and Jesus Is Lord.
Worship commences with a great hymn of the Trinity Come Now, Almighty King.
The prayer of adoration and confession will praise God for the revelation of Himself, Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the works of redemption and fellowship we share with Him as His people, recalling with sorrow any attempts by us to try to earn the blessings which He gives us as a free gift.
The Price Is Paid, the Nicene Creed and Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow will be our testimony of faith and assurance.
In God’s Word, John 13:21-38 continues the upper room narrative in which Jesus shares a new commandment with the disciples.
We’ll continue to memorise Hebrews 13:14.
This Is My Father’s World will express our understanding of God’s great revelation of Himself in creation.
Reading Hebrews 12:18-24 our sermon will examine the great contrast between two mountains, helping us to remember we are not in a place that constantly reminds us of our separation from God, but, through Jesus we are right now acceptable and in the presence of God. The exhortations of chapter 12 should then be understood as encouragement to respond to what has been done to us as God’s people, not an effort to gain something from Him.
After our pastoral prayer and giving our tithes and offerings, worship will conclude by singing Who Has Held The Oceans In His Hand (Behold Our God).
